Formation story and problems of Rebelo, AG

To say Armindo Rebelo's life, the history of Rebelo, AG goes back to January 1983, when Armindo Rebelo and Ascensão Rebelo decided to start a small offset printing company. After all these years and after successive changes of installations that have always allowed a qualitative leap along with a tremendous and continuous effort to modernize the means of production, Rebelo, AG, has acquired a position among the best companies in the Portuguese graphics industry, counting with a wide range of equipment in the field of offset, small format and large format digital.

With an attitude of constantly improving service, Rebelo, AG, over the years, has won and retained their customers, which allows them to face the future with optimism. Armindo Rebelo and I talked about business issues, which is also a way for CMSMART to better understand our customers. Armindo Rebelo said with us that their main product is boxes or multiple side products and it is hard for the end-user to imagine how the final output looks like. It makes them confused when placing orders because they are not sure if the final products look good or not. This problem affects significantly the user experience when they test or buy products on the website. Especially in the printing business. What positive direction could this be taken?

Armindo Rebelo said that: That bad situation has been going on for a long time, we have tried various solutions to fix it but everything seems to be working against us. Our customers are printing shop owners, print agencies, printing solution providers, designers, and trade printers... They have been dissatisfied when tried on our website due to it is hard for the end-user to imagine how the final output looks like. We were extremely pressured about that.

We spent quite a bit of time testing directly on web to print from competitors, searching the internet for printing website solutions, printing marketplace. We got a few results that were exactly what we wanted. Those solutions were great but it was not compatible with our website and causes many other errors. As you know the worst outcome happened, revenue dropped by 1/3.

While finding the right product idea is already hard, displaying products on a WooCommerce site is even harder for a WordPress beginner. When I started creating my first dropshipping store, I thought it would be a no-brainer to place my products on the website. Just drag-and-drop and something else. But it turned out to be a real uphill struggle for me at that time. It took me the whole month to learn all the things about WordPress, WooCommerce, plugins, shortcodes, and more. Everything was fine since I read a review about the NBdesigner 3D preview solution from CMSMART.

Why NBdesigner 3D Preview Function is considered?

After discussing all problems, we suggested developing the 3D preview function for their business. This function will allow end-users to see the preview of the product they are designing in 3D modeling. After the design is personalized, they can preview the final result and fix any mistakes before the design goes to print. A realistic 3D preview of the final product ensures the customers’ satisfaction before placing the order.

3D modeling for design allows the designer to see what they would not see when designing in 2D. It gives the designer the ability to physically see how much real an object takes from all perspectives. 

When designing in 2D, the designer needs to create all sides of the product then design one by one. For flat products such as flyers, posters, business cards, it is alright to see the 2D preview. But for cube products such as boxes, mugs, is hard for users to comprehend how the final output will be.

While showing previews in 3D, the design could be seen in one model, your users could see the product from all sides. This is particularly helpful for end-users who have a hard time visualizing designs from 2D drawings. This allows them to see how much clearance and access they will have around a design before placing an order.  It also allows the designer to check if the elements are in the right position or if they look terrible when coming out, which they may not readily see in 2D design. It helps website owners to create more user-friendly designs for the end-users.
