How can i apply a badge to a set of products in one click? For example set a badge of "50% off" to all the dresses category on my website

my question is regarding a category.
every magento website has different folders according to the site needs.

if i sell dresses, skirts, shoes and accessories - i will set a category/folder on my magento back office and relate all relevant products to this category/folder (all products will be also on root folder)

normally when there is a special offer, it will be effective on a specific line of products, which means i will set a badge of a special offer on all the products from this line (for example - all the dresses, all the skirts)
The easy way to do it will be to set a badge on a category/folder in one click
Is it possible?
