There's an option to include bleed line in the PDF when converting to PDF and downloading it.
Unfortunately there's no bleed line when I download the PDF.
Another thing is that the PDF should include outlined text, because if it's opened in illustrator the text is made up from codes.
The option to show/hide bleed doesn't change anything in the downloaded PDF.
I'm refering to when exporting a PDF backend from an order.
Even if I select "show bleed line" when exporting to PDF, it doesn't include the bleed in the file. Therefore I have to add the bleed manually with illustrator, but the file doesn't work with Illustrator. What am I supposed to do when collecting a file with bleed from a customer?
Unfortunately whoever designed this doesn't know how bleed works. Bleed is supposed to be outside the canvas (Not inside) and there's supposed to be a trim line between the bleed line and the safe zone.
However in this design the bleed line isn't actually the bleed line - it works as the trim line. This error really confused me and the people testing the plugin. Please move the bleed line to the outside of the canvas. If that's impossible then rename the name "bleed line" to "trim line". A bleed line is normally referred to as the end of the bleed area.
Have a look at this guide:
https://trillioncreative.com/differences-between-bleed-trim-safe-area-ads/
Another important thing: If I add 5mm bleed to a product, the 5mm are subtracted from the overall size of the product. That's why bleed is ALWAYS located outside the canvas, so it doesn't interfere with the product size. For example if I want 5mm bleed on my products in NB Designer, I will have to add 5mm for all 4 sides in the product size on all products just to compensate for the bleed error.
Hi Jason,
Are there any updates from the team regarding Dan's ticket? I've also discovered the same problem where NB Designer does not handle bleed correctly as per printing standards.
I've just installed this onto a clients site and they will be asking the same question soon.
Thanks,
Simon
When are you going to solve my problem?
It is almost a month.
Hi Jason,
