Why do customer uploads print as boxes on a T-shirt?
A logo or photo pasted onto a dark garment carries its original background with it. The shop sees the problem at the press, or the customer sees it in the parcel.

What file does apparel printing need?
Printers publish their own specs. These values are from one print-on-demand provider's DTG guide; check the printer you use.

How is it paid for?
AI runs on tokens from the store owner's Cmsmart wallet, so your buyers never see a charge. Tokens come with a monthly plan and the balance resets at each renewal. This page does not print a per-use cost; the live plans and balance are on AI credits and in your dashboard.

Be clear before you start
What does it not do?
- It runs in the buyer's designer on uploaded artwork. It does not process your catalogue product photos and has no batch mode.
- Cut-outs on very fine hair or glass can need the refine tools; the tool does not promise a perfect edge every time.
- There is no DTF gang sheet, white underbase or knockout built in. Those are custom development.
- It does not connect to Printful, Printify or Gelato; connecting a supplier is custom work.
- The plugin does not state a maximum file size or accepted input formats, so this page prints none.

Frequently asked questions
How do I remove the background from a logo for T-shirt printing?
Select the uploaded logo in the Cmsmart designer, open Remove background, choose Logo as the subject type and Transparent as the output, then refine the edge and apply. The cut-out is saved with the order, and staff can download a PNG from it.
Why does my logo print with a white box on a dark T-shirt?
Because the file still carries its white background. Printers expect a PNG with a transparent background for apparel; Printful's DTG guide says so. Removing the background before the order means the box never reaches the garment.
Is a halo around the cut-out a problem on black garments?
It can be. A thin fringe of the old background shows on dark fabric. Lower the edge softness toward 0 for logos and use the Erase and Smart Select tools in the refine step, checking the edge on a dark preview before applying.
What resolution does a T-shirt print need?
Printful's DTG guide gives 150 DPI as the minimum at the print size, in sRGB, and notes that enlarging an image lowers its DPI. Cmsmart lets you set the required DPI per store, and preflight compares each image against it.
Does it work with Printful or Printify?
There is no built-in connection to a print-on-demand network. The tool runs in your own WooCommerce designer and produces print files on the order. Sending those files to a supplier automatically is custom development.
Can I process my existing product photos in bulk?
No. The tool works on images a buyer places in the designer and has no batch or catalogue mode. For catalogue photos, use a bulk tool; we can integrate one into your store as custom work.
