I have the same question as Dieter Pfenning.
The file extensions png, jpg, and gif are web formats. Printers and graphic arts professionals need tiff, eps, and vector-based pdf support.

Perhaps there is another solution for my problem. For me it would work, if i could use a PDF in the background. I tried this in your Backend Demo without luck:
Dashboard > "WooCommerce" > "Products" > Select one Product in list > Metabox "Setting NBDesigner" > Tab "Custom Design" > First entry Button "More setting" > "Background Type" Radio Button "Image" > upload PDF in media library
In the Backend i can upload a PDF as a backround image. But then i only see a brocken image icon in the dashboard. In the frontend i can see no background at all. Do i miss something here? Are PDF not supported as background?
